Its a delight to dance. Its a delight to watch. Its a way of enjoying existence. Sangamithra, the annual culture fest of Great lakes is scheduled and the campus has transformed itself over night. Its a cultural medley inside the campus - Western on one side, bhangra on the other, Garba in the canteen, its a visual treat, for all the dance lovers. More than the dance by itself, I like people enjoying themselves while dancing. The wide smile, the spark in the eye, the occasional laugh, the nodding of the head, the swaying of the arms gracefully, it is not difficult to notice. I am also seeing some mechanical jumping around and total chaos and confusion. The whole campus is silent and eerie until 11 pm. From then on until early morning ( I frankly don't know when this college goes to sleep), the whole atmosphere thrives with music and dance in full beautiful form. Having learnt to dance and having enjoyed it every minute, my feet taps on to every beatI could listen to. This is thankfully a refreshing change from everyday drudgery in the form of assignments, case studies, classes, tests and so on.
I have come to wish Sangamithra was year long. The joy of dancing not only belongs to the dancer, but also to the spectator.
